Government of China will offer cash prizes more for people who reported porn site address. This is part of a campaign against content that is not healthy for children. However, the amount paid will be offered are not mentioned.
According to Xinhua news agency reports, during the period of December 4, 2009 until January 15, 2010, the Office of National Antipornografi and Illegal Antipublikasi together with publishing supervisor has received more than 90,000 reports. Last week the Government of China handed over 224,000 yuan, equivalent to 32,810 U.S. dollars as a gift to the rapporteur.
The authorities will now offer more prizes to encourage the active participation of the community. In 2009, authorities closed more than 15,000 pornographic sites, including 11,000 mobile phone WAP service, according to the report. With the number of Internet users are estimated to reach 384 million people, China has a population of the largest virtual site users.
Not only that, the ruling Communist Party worry if the Internet becomes a dangerous tool which threatens the image and ideas. The same movement is also targeting a number of sites that are politically sensitive. China currently blocking a large number of popular sites and Internet services, such as YouTube, Google, Twitter, Flickr, and Facebook.
